  Duncan's is the best place in Amherst to go for a night out from the kids. It is an intimate setting. The only downfall is size, however in saying that if you have good food you will always have problems with seating.
  
  Jeff is a great guy and knows food. Needs work on mortal Komat though!

  Great liquor and food selection. Open mic nights are fun. This is where you bring your business associates for supper and drinks. Call ahead for tables as they are often busy.

  Went here for a steak dinner. I was very underwhelmed and actually quite shocked at the quality. For a couple hundred dollars I was expecting something worth that amount. My steak was riddled with gristle and looked like it was boiled. God awful music the waitress wasn't allowed to change. Kinda reminiscent of elevator italian opera on the elevator to purgatory. Although there was only one other table, our service was dreadful. I had to go to the counter to get the waitresses attention, a couple times. I was very disheartened. Especially after shelling out over 300 for 3 meals.
  
  I don't understand how they call themselves a pub when it's very obviously trying to be an upscale restaurant.
  
  On the other hand, little complaint on my friends scallop dinner, although for being on the coast and the cost, very little scallops. But cooked well.
  
  I'll have to go again, looking at the other reviews, but not anytime soon. Still salty.
